With ski slopes in view of the Levantine Coastline and the Mediterranean stretching out to eternity, mountain walking, vineyards, crusader castles, souks and Phonecian ruins no more than an hour from the ski slopes, Lebanon has something to satisfy everyone's holiday aspirations! |
| Lebanon is the most exotic Mediterranean ski destination there is and we specialise in itineraries allowing skiers to sightsee too. Skiers can ski the best resort in the Middle East, Kfardebian Mzaar fromerly known as Faraya Maazar, perhaps also ski the romantic Cedars. Non-skiers can walk, wine taste and explore the best of Lebanon. Skiing is not the first thing you would expect to find in the Middle East, but Lebanon is a country where the lebanese culture is warm and welcoming and the snow is abundant. Whether a skier, tourist or walker you will get plenty of opportunity to get a feel for Lebanon which is so unlike anything to be experienced in Europe!
Walking holidays in Lebanon
We have recently introduced walking holidays in Lebanon, the sports center of the Middle East! This can be combined with skiing, if visiting in March, allowing for the winter sports in the morning and trekking in the afternoon in the Kadisha gorge visiting local villages, maronite chapels and walking through Lebanon's forests. If specifically hiking we suggest holidaying between May until September to enjoy the sunny days at a comfortable temperature. Hike in the Chouf mountains in the south of the Mount Lebanon range or perhaps trek in the North of Lebanon near the Syrian border.
'Wines of The Lebanon'
Touring the vineyards of Lebanon can also be combined with skiing and walking holidays as part of your year round sports activities! Lebanon, one of the worlds smallest countries, hemmed in by the warm waters of the Mediterranean, and borders of Syria, Jordan and Israel has within its borders the blue sky and fertile soils of the Bekaa valley and vineyards aplenty!
The wine caves of Ksara, and Chateau Musar are known to many, but other equally good regional wines are waiting to be tasted. We have wine tasting itineraries for specialist sommeliers along with romantic wine tasting weekend breaks. For business travellers too Lebanon has it all, ski slopes and vineyards an hour from Beirut, sightseeing and day walking/hikes to provide recreational relaxation from hammering the board room table in Beirut.
